The first problem was that there are two drivers for that wireless card, wl and b43,. and both were trying to load. After an update I started having problems with my wireless even being detected, with. it and the wired ethernet switching between eth0 and eth1 randomly, usb flash disc driver several other strange little issues. I agree, think if the college was on linux how easy things would be, you could rsync. things to your home computer which would be sick, open formats is awesome, and most of all much of the software would be free. That really shows you gave it a full effort instead of turning back after the. first problem.
